I find buying modern furniture quite a difficult thing to do. There are many pieces about which are classical in style or cheaper things that are just practical. However, I would really like some striking pieces which reflect this era that I can use as a feature in my house. I have a modern house and so it would be great to have contemporary furniture in it. Another problem I have is that I do not want something that will not gain in value. I am hoping that if I can get something really cutting edge by a great designer then it might increase in value as they become more popular and I can make some money on it. It is a risk, I am aware of that which is why I am taking my time. Once I have these feature pieces, I then need to find some cheaper stuff to go in the room with it, things that will not stand out massively but that will still look right. It is quite a tricky thing to imagine and until I get these main pieces, I cannot do it. Once I buy them I will place them and then decoarte the room and get my other bits and bobs to put around the room so that they compliment but do not take over the style of the room. At the moment I am thinking that a key sofa in the sitting room and bed in the bedroom would be good with more subtle storage and tables around them. It is getting quite tricky and I am even considering employing a designer so that I know the look will be right as I have never tried to do anything like this before and it does have the potential of being a complete disaster!

I am going to my friends wedding soon. She has asked to help out with some of the organising and I have offered to help with the cake. As the market for equity release becomes more competitive, you should find that there are more flexible plans available.
